Pro-forma invoicing
Agree the details before the invoice.
Use a pro forma to present the proposed work, then turn an accepted pro forma into a draft invoice without losing the distinction between the documents.
14 days free. No card required. No automatic renewal.
From proposal to billing
- Create a pro forma for the customer and proposed work.
- Issue the pro forma.
- Confirm that the customer accepts it.
- Convert the accepted pro forma into one draft invoice.
- Review and finalize the resulting invoice.
A pro forma is not an open receivable
A pro forma is not an invoice or receivable before conversion. That keeps proposed amounts distinct from invoices awaiting payment. Converting it creates a draft invoice; it does not mean payment has been received.
Keep the commercial decision clear
Document the acceptance and any open questions in your own process. Contractual terms and tax treatment remain business and professional decisions.
